Beautiful Canal Route

This beautiful canal route is one of the most wonderful sea routes in all of Helsinki and it is the best way to see the town. To prove our point, it won first prize in the 2007 Best of Helsinki Awards which were held online by the Helsinki city travel and conference administration.

This unique archipelago cruise shows you the history of our capital, as well as unveiling more of the present day city. Only Sun Lines ships run this route and offers you sights over Suomenlinna sea fortress, beautiful archipelago summer cottages and saunas, the fantastic Degerö Canal, Korkeasaari Zoo, and both ice breakers and boat harbours.

Gorgeous Kulosaari Casino

The classy Kulosaari Casino which was established in 1915 has a well -lit and open view from its sea lounge over the Suomenlahti, and its spacious terrace invites you to enjoy the summer seas. The night and an awesome atmosphere are crowned by the sophisticated tastes of a kitchen which respects the local traditions.

Knowledge Package

• The cruise departs from Kolera Basin at Kauppatori between Monday to Friday at 18:30 (29/05-05/09/2010).
• The cruise’s duration is about one hour ten minutes.
• All our ships have a cafeteria and a licence to serve alcohol.
• The sightseeing tour can be enjoyed when accompanied by an audio tape in Finnish, Russian, English and German, with additional reading material in French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Chinese and Japanese.
• The cruise package can be booked from Sun Lines. For private occasions a separate price can be arranged for you.
• We will book your return transportation (by taxi or bus) upon request.
